Many of us have experienced the days of having heat damaged hair! Knowing what some of the common ways to prevent it can be a huge help in the future.

Heat Damage

Heat damage is one of the most common things that can damage your hair. Many of the styling tools that you use on the daily like our blow dryer, curling iron, straightening iron, etc can damage our hair if you are not careful. With that said here are some things that can help you keep your hair healthy and undamaged!

Heat Protectant

Always, always use a heat protectant when you are using tools that keep your hair under heat stress. These really help save your hair when you are using heat to style your hair. Another tip for saving your hair from heat damage is when you blow dry make sure to let your hair air dry 10 – 15 minutes after blotting it with a MICROFIBER towel. This will save your hair from so much damage by doing this.

Hair Extensions

That’s right! Hair extensions are a great way to keep your hair healthy and keep you self aware of protecting your hair. Integrating hair extensions with your natural hair allows you to create different styles while using your hair and your hair extension hair without always using heat! This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use heat tools  but it does mean you have more hair to work with and can try other things that don’t always involve long heat for long periods of time.

Coconut Oil

If you know your hair has become damaged from heat and you need to treat it immediately coconut oil is amazing. The oil completely absorbs itself into the hair cuticles while also working to hydrate your hair from the inside out. Many of the heat protectant products out there today use coconut oil so you can never go wrong.
