This past weekend I had the chance to travel to Los Angeles and attend IMATS! IMATS stands for International Makeup Artist Trade Show! This was a dream come true for me. The show is only held in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, London and Sydney. It is an awesome place for everyone in the industry to get together and leave INSPIRED! With it being in LA most things were centered around film and television which was really out of the box for me since I mainly stick to the beauty side of makeup! In addition to classes, the sales on products were worth the trip alone!!
Here I am waiting in the line to get in!! It was literally wrapped around the building!! We got there around 10 am when the doors opened but some people camp out to be at the front of the line at 6 am! It is like Black Friday for makeup artists and beauty enthusiasts!
I loved seeing all of the artistic talent Imats had to offer! It is amazing what makeup can achieve! Some of these beautiful looks were entered in a Battle of the Brushes Competition where artists compete with each other based around a theme!I had the pleasure of stealing a quick selfie with Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills! She was so nice! I love their products and I was so excited to have the chance to meet her!My friend Emily and I ran into one of my favorite YouTubers danielleraexo ! She was so sweet and down to earth! Go follow her instagram and YouTube she has awesome tutorials and reviews! She is from North Carolina so it was great seeing another southern girl out in California! Lets be honest Cali people look at you like you are foreign when you have a southern accent!Ahhhhh! All of my goodies! I don’t even know where to begin to explain the awesome stuff I got!! I am going to do a complete haul video for you soon but my absolute favorite purchase is my new TEMPTU AIR airbrush makeup system! I have been using it on myself as well as practicing on others and I am hooked! I am so excited to offer airbrush makeup now to all my beautiful clients!
